Join the Brotherhood...

Hey all,
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood comes out next week (or next, next week? whatever week Nov. 16 falls on)! I can't wait to be the most horrible assassin in the world...ONLINE! Yes, many of you probably have no idea how I play Assassin's Creed. But, from what my friends say, I play absolutely horribly. I never really do a silent kill. It's more of a "alert-everyone-about-my-presence-cuz-I-am-so-damn-awesome" style. I run in, find the dude, let all the guards chase me, and then find the target in the pack of bloodthirsty guards, and kill the target. I'd say it's the game's fault for letting me be able to get away with such a thing!
Not to mention my devilish horse riding escapades. Guards chasing me you say? Well I have my trusty steed who can run over you unless you are a pack of five...apparently my horse can't handle more (his feet get tangled in all the intestines). I wouldn't even care about civilians. Eizo was pretty much the playboy of Italy. Think about it. He literally bought his own small town. I have money coming in from investments which leaves me with so much wealth I don't know what to do with it all. By the way, I think Assassin's Creed II is the only game where you can have more money in your wallet, then in your safe.  I can buy drugs, hang out with the "ladies" of the town, hire guards, hire thieves who worship me, and get to wear the most stylish clothing of all of Venice, Florence, or any other Italian city. Most of all, I get to kill people! How else do you think I made all this money? Eizo is like the Godfather, except in the early Renaissance (when Da Vinci apparently made and sold weaponry modifications...I knew it!)

Now I was disappointed with the fact that the new game's map and style looks quite the same from AC II, but in all honesty, it does makes sense--it's a direct sequel. But when I think about what they did with the whole idea of "the brotherhood," it gives me shivers. You get to recruit other assassins, who apparently hate the enemy as much as you do, and control  them. You get to send them to different parts of Italy or keep them on hand to do your bidding while your in-game. Imagine all the awesome possibilities in missions now! Not to mention that Rome is like three times bigger than Florence in this game. And to tell you the truth, that might be a bad things speaking that I hated trying to memorize which entrance to go through so I could get to the nearest shop or to Da Vinci's workshop.

You also have online multiplayer! Sounds awesome to me. Reminds me of people telling me about Assassins during the freshman days of college. Trying to get people with socks, but knowing someone else was also trying to get you with a sock. Imagine having that the same feeling except you have no safe zones, and the hunter doesn't have to study for midterms...

Anyway, my only question is about the story and if it all fits in naturally. And I don't want the game to be like AC II where you have a bunch of gadgets at your disposal, but you don't have to use any of them to get about 90% of the game done. I want calling on the brotherhood a integral aspect of the game. I want it so that if I don't got someone behind my back, I'll be in deep doo-doo. I want the extra missions something to be more of a joy rather than a chore. I hated the whole, "my husband sucks, beat him up but don't kill him, yeah? Oh, ya did it? Here's a couple of florins for your trouble young man"

I've played games like Chrono Cross, Suikoden, and Skies of Arcadia. I loved the idea of finding people to join your team. It's almost like the ultimate reward. You do a sidequest, and the person joins you on your quest! Awesome! I want Brotherhood to be just like that. Maybe the assassin's will be more like pawns just like in Ogre Battle or Final Fantasy Tactics, but that's okay. I just want the way you find them more unique then just buying people or going to a specific spot to capture them like Pokemon.

I know I ask of a lot, but I really, really liked AC II. It's the only game I have that I wanted really really badly to get 100%  of all of the achievements. What stopped me? The stupid feathers.

Note AC III...no more feathers, please...for me?

-Catch ya later
